Overall Average was £121.44 (+£29.47on 2013 £91.97) CCM Auctions conducted their Annual Sale of Swaledale Draft Ewes and Gimmer Shearlings at Skipton Mart on Saturday. After a wonderful season weather wise sheep were shown in good order and were generally stronger on the year. The quality of sheep at this sale continues to get better every year and the sheep on offer are a true credit to the producers of this area with strong well bodied ewes ideal for crossing in plentiful supply. MARKET REPORT – FRIDAY 3rd OCTOBER 2014 CCM Auctions held their Annual Sale of Rams at Skipton Mart on Friday. With selling today spread across 4 sale rings the market was full to capacity with breeds covering the main sales for Blue Faced Leicesters, Suffolks, Hampshire Downs, Blue Texels and Zwartbles together with second sales for Texels, Charollais, Beltex, Cheviot and other breeds. Forward: 7302 Head, Overall av £56.24 . Store Lambs were forward in large numbers for CCM’S fortnightly sale on Wednesday as this week’s busy schedule moved into its third day. 7,302 lambs sold today at an overall average £56.24 each and over 15,000 sheep have now been this week.
