Numbers and selling averages soar at Skipton store lamb opener Skipton Auction Mart’s opening store lamb sale of the 2020 season began on a real high note, with a major rise in both entry numbers and trading levels. (Wed, July 15) As in past years, the annual highlight offered a wide selection of lambs for short, medium and long-term keep, and the 4,302 head successfully sold represented an increase of over 1,200 sheep on the year, while the overall selling average of £73.54 per head itself showed a solid rise of £8.95 on 2019.

On Wednesday 15th July 2020, CCM Auctions conducted their Opening Sale of Store Lambs at Skipton Mart where 4,302 head were sold, a rise of over 1,200 head on the year, and the overall sale average levelled at £73.54 per head (+£8.95 on 2019).

LIVESTOCK ONLY - SATURDAY 11TH JULY 2020

CCM Auctions Conducted their Monthly Sale of Stirks, Weaned Calves and Young Store Cattle today with a brilliant trade to match the atmosphere. A total of 151 head of Bulls, Heifers, Steers, and in Calf Cows. 55 Black and White stirks in the entry to avg at £528 and topped the trade at £775. Mont x sold to £600. Good 6-8 month Limi’s around the £600 mark. BB X heifers sold very well with the bidders ringside pushing on strong to buy numbers with them £600/ £700 strongest ones up to £820 and a few smaller/ younger ones either side of £500. BB X Bullocks again selling well with Wednesday store vendors looking to replenish stock sold recently.

Skipton’s first online timed machinery auction a runaway success Skipton Auction Mart’s first online timed machinery auction staged over two days last week proved a runaway success, creating keen interest and high sales levels, complemented by some extremely solid prices.
