MARKET REPORT - WEDNESDAY 9TH JULY

SKIPTON AUCTION MART MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 9th JULY 2014 Fortnightly Catalogue Sale of Store Lambs Forward: 4087 Head, Overall av £56.73

CCM Auctions conducted their season opening catalogue sale of Store Lambs at Skipton Mart on Wednesday. As ever this sale drew much interest from around the country and all eyes were watching to see the opening trade. Although there is plenty of grass about, the pressure on prime prices was always going to be the balancing effect on todays trade and maybe on reflection an average of nearly £57 will prove a workable point for both buyers and sellers. There were 30 successful buyers on the day, with a few others leaving empty handed so there is early season demand out there, its just that customers are shopping with a slightly different price list.
