Andrew and Caroline Ivinsons Sandwick herd of Beef Shorthorn cattle headed the prices with Sandwick Flossy Mocha, a dark roan September 2018 daughter of Glenisla Jack Frost bred from an engineer of Upsall bred cow, SAndwick Flossy Koffee which with a service to Highlee Nelson joined Macgregor Farming Partnership for 6200gns. Catrina Ward from Glaisdale had a successful day with her Kimrina herd, selling two Jnauary 2019 Craigfaddock Khan sons in the bull section at 2000gns and then selling the stylish Red and White Kimrina Nadia as the highest priced open heifer for 5800gns to A&C Farms. Nadia is by Craigfaddock Khan and out of a Beautry Gryffindor daughter Kimrina Kesha. The sale was well attended by prospective buyers both onsite and online with a number of entries selling to online bidders.

The ‘new normal’ was very much the case at Skipton today with a socially distanced group of buyers in the sale ring and a large amount of bidders & interested parties turned in on the internet, from which bids and several sales came from. Principle prices of 4200gns was paid for lot 79, Airedale Miss Essence, a Weeton Lord Horatio daughter from Rawburn cow and selling incalf to Evolution to Messrs Burgess, New Abbey, Dumfries. Next inline at 4000gns was Airedale Kyle lot 61 she told Messrs Nicholson of Brandesburton.

British Blue

A draft of Pedigree British Blue cattle from the Greystone herd of Messrs Coates of Rainscar farm received considerable interest from around the country. Their leading price was the 2 year old bull Greystone Nitram bred from easy calving lines and by the outstanding Javanais de Rocourt which sold for 4300gns. Pick of the heifers was Greystone Opel, a very correct white Jardiner daughter which joined Dean Saunders for 3000gns.
