44 Pedigree Beef Cattle & Suckler Cattle

 

Leading the prices in the pedigree and pure bred section of the Lingfields Cattle Fair was the 16mth old Simmental  Bull, Scarthingwell Ferdie by easy calving Popes Laird shown by Mrs JC Pick of Scarthingwell which sold to Liversedge Bros of Wilberfoss for 2400gns.

2350gns was the final bid for the British Blue Bull, Brookfield Ironman from S&GA Potter of Topcliffe which sold to J Verity & Son of Lofthouse for producing premium calves in their suckler herd.

The Championship was won by Messrs TB Moorhouse & Son of Dacre with their 2013 Blonde d’Aquitaine bull Fouldshaw Incredible Hulk, bred from easy calving lines and finding a new home with George Wainwright in the Peak District for 1800gns. Judge James Huck, Austwick.
