Fortnightly Catalogue Sale of Store Lambs
Forward: 5,672 Head, Overall av £58.64
The fortnightly Store Sheep sale produced the sale of the Autumn so far with all classes trading at higher levels than the previous sale, and notably significantly improved from the corresponding time last year. With grass keep coming available a packed ringside assembled to compete for lambs, which were a good selection offering something for all from strong short keep lambs to smaller wintering types.

Comprising: 108 Young Feeding Bulls, 433 Bullocks & Heifers, 5 Breeding Cattle
The Fortnightly Sale of Store & Breeding Cattle at Skipton Mart on Wednesday attracted a large entry of 546 head of cattle. Included in today sale was the autumn Show & Sale of Suckled calves and over year stores with show potential. Results and main prices as below.

38 Rams sold overall average £67.81
As ever there was a nice line up of rams for the judges, Karen Harrison & David Charnley, to inspect and their choice of champion receiving The Royston Baxter Trophy was a shearling ram presented by GC&PM Haygarth & Daughter which sold for the top price of the day 240gns.
