NEW FARMING COUNTRY PODCAST 2021

Skipton Auction Mart airs new Farming Country podcast CCM Auctions has become one of the first livestock marts in the UK to launch its own communications-boosting podcasts in direct response to the boom in digital audio. Now streaming live is The Farming Country Podcast. “It’s a brand-new initiative designed to keep customers old and new at the cutting edge of trade and trends at Skipton Auction Mart and out there in the wider agri-sector,” explained general manager and auctioneer Jeremy Eaton.

Kevin Evans headline performer again at Skipton online sheep dog sale with high price hat-trick and £14,300 top call Dad David sets new world record price of £6,100 for unbroken pup Welshman Kevin Evans was top dog on price yet again at Skipton Auction Mart’s first online working sheep dog sale of 2021, selling three fully broken dogs for a combined £35,600, while his father David established a new world record price of £6,100 for an unbroken pup.

CCM Auctions Conducted their Monthly Sale of Stirks, Weaned Calves and Young Store Cattle, a tremendous entry of cattle with 60 Steers 32 Heifers and 18 Bulls forward. Trade for all classes very good with buyers out in force. 35 Black and Whites averaged £431. Younger end £370-£450, Mediums £450-£520 and bigger growing end upto £720. Regular consignment of cattle from JK Roberts sold dairy bred Blue bullocks to £730 as-well as DC&EP Sayer. 5-month-old suckler bred bullocks from JA Crocker sold to £600. Blue heifers sold very well with more buyers forward for all sizes. Some 14-16 month goods sold at £800-£830. £680-£740 mediums and £560-£620 for 6/7 month goods. Fortnightly Catalogue Sale of Store Lambs Forward: 831 Head, Overall av £92.66 A tremendous trade all through today, easily keeping pace with the rise in prime prices with the sale levelling at £92. Lowland lambs were £110 plus for several pens of best quality, whilst stronger framed lambs were £105/£110, nice medium Stores £95/£104 and long keep sorts £84/£94. A few pens of small sorts in the £70’s and late £60’s.
