A large show of lambs met with a reduced trade on the week, but a scan around Eblex shows quite a nice result on the day, with the overall average some 5p/kg above the English average on the day.

Some cracking Beltex lambs were the highpoint of the day, and these sold extremely well. However there was a shortage of nice export weight lambs 38kg to 42kg, with more heavy sheep finding their way on to the market as producers obviously look to take advantage of grass and grow lambs to be worth towards £70 in the lump.

Ewes were exceedingly good to sell.
