Commercial Lowland lambs 38kg to 43kg were good to sell, and 220p to 240p was commonplace for lambs in this category.

Mule Wethers were the best trade of the season so far, topping at 214p for a pen of 39 head weighing 45kg at £96.50 from Ellis Bros of Cragg House. Nick & Charlotte Brown from Lancaster sold Mules at 211.9p and CD&RF Kitching from Threshfield made 210.7p. Mule wethers averaged 206p or £91.22 per head.

Horned Wethers followed suit, Jack Berry t/a JH Throup, Silden topped at 207.1p, AJ Mason, Skipton 205.6p, David Breaks Slaidburn made 205p, K Lister & Son Kettlewell 202.7p for a pen of 21, and D&S Hollins of Hebden Bridge 201p. Horned and Hill Wethers averaged 192p.
