2,416 Prime Sheep

A nice show of spring lambs were good to sell, some quality sorts adding up really well and vendors being pleased with their trade. No sign of numbers easing off yet in the hogg department, however the quality was mixed. Some good runs of fleshed lambs every bit as dear as recent weeks, best over £3, nice sorts 250p, commercial Continentals 220p-230p. Hill bred lambs also over £2 for the better sorts. Cast sheep didn’t falter either, and with 577 head head forward, plenty for the buyers to go at.
