STORE CATTLE - WEDNESDAY 13th AUGUST

Fortnightly Sale of Young Feeding Bulls, Store Bullocks & Heifers, Breeding Cattle. Forward: 345 head of cattle. Comprising: 62 Young Feeding Bulls, 249 Bullocks & Heifers, 31 Breeding Cattle & 3 Grazing Cattle. Store Cattle trade went back up a gear today at CCM Auctions Fortnightly Sale at Skipton Mart. A marvellous show of strong cattle attracted a full turn out of buyers and trade was as sharp as it has been seen for several sales. The usual exemplary show of suckled calves and yearling cattle were also good to sell, with quality bullocks especially well sought. Bull trade was also seen to be slightly dearer as feeders respond to cheaper corn prices and a slightly improved prime price.
