One of the larger shows of cattle we’ve had in previous weeks with a definite increase in cattle coming off grazing today with a lot of weathered cattle throughout the sale, however strong fed cattle was still commanding strong prices.  Fox Farms, Clitheroe topped the clean cattle at £1300 and others at £1290 and £1270. A strong contingent of buyers on black and whites today saw a marked increase in the average price with Malcolm Taylor of Winterburn topping at £980 for a strong bullock.

The bulls were yet again good to sell with creep fed spring bull calves flying into £900-£1000 regularly away particularly for a run presented by JC Lund of Coneygarth, with bulls peaking at £1370 for a Limousin bull from JM Townsend, Laneshawbridge.
