CCM Auctions Conducted their Monthly Sale of Stirks, Weaned Calves and Young Store Cattle.
Stirks sold to a packed ringside today. Black & Whites sold to a solid trade. Good grazing sorts with size and age £780-£820.
Nice 7/8-month Bullocks £530-£550. Blue Bullocks sold to £970 from I&M Lancaster, Clitheroe. Blues at 6/7 months with flesh and frame £630-£700. Blue heifers sold at £560-£640 for similar goods. F Brown, Halton Gill sold a pen of strong Hereford heifers at £825. Natives in general met a competitive audience. Angus heifers sold at £600-£640 for fleshed up 6-month-old heifers with stronger turn out beast £740-£820. Some younger leaner goods £460-£500. Angus bullocks sold at £650-£700 for mediums suckler bred Calves at 7 months of age. Stronger goods with a couple more months on them but dairy bred £730-£750. Hereford steer yearlings £770-£790 with some commercial type Dairy bred at £550. Stirks needed for next sale with plenty of entries already in the book.

A very good entry of Machinery, Implements, Plant, Tools, Stone & Salvage with nearly 800 lots entered for sale between the outdoor and indoor sections.
Out on the yard there was plenty of choice in the larger items lines and lead price was £11,200 for a Ford 7740 Dual Power SL Tractor (1994). A Toyota Hilux Invincible (2013) made £9000, with a Landrover Defender Hardtop 90 (1994) making £5500. A Case IH (DB) 1394 with loader made £4,100.
Trailers sold to £4,100 for an Ifor Williams tri axle Plant Trailer with sides, a Graham Edwards 14ft Livestock trailer with sheep decks made £3000, whilst an Ifor Williams 8ft small single deck livestock trailer made £1800.
Slurry Tankers and muck equipment made to £2600 for a Marshall ST 1400 Slurry Tanker, and £1200 for a Marshall Rotaspreader.
Grassland tackle peaked at £1650 for a Khun 360 Rowing up machine. A khun 300 Haybob made £1350m and a Mchale Bale Squeeze £950.
Livestock from equipment, including gates, crushes, feeders etc in good demand.
