CCM Auctions Conducted their Monthly Sale of Stirks, Weaned Calves and Young Store Cattle
An entry of 122 forward, with the trade of store cattle on a Wednesday flying the Stirks definitely followed today. Black and White steers sold tremendous, 5-month-old from E Pennock & Son sold at £430 with DP Mitchell selling 6/7-month-old at £495.
Blue steers both suckler bred and dairy bred sold to plenty of farmer buyers looking for early turn out cattle. DP Mitchell sold a large pen of 6 month old dairy bred blues at £655. JC Roberts sold 8-9 month old dairy bred goods at £730-£735. MP Jennings, Keighley sold a 5 month old Blue heifer at £770.
W+M Bland sold 16 AA Heifers, 10-month-old between £520-£600. J+C Wright sold 13 Month old AA Heifers to £760.
22 Lim heifers under 15 month down to 3 month sold to ave £604 with 12-15 months sold at £760-£850. 9-12 month Lim heifers £700-£740. 6-9 months around £620 and under 6 months mainly £540-£600 with some 3 month goods in the £400’s.
16 Black and White Bulls sold to £480 and to ave £441.
More goods required next sale on the 20th March no matter how small plenty of purchasers ringside for all classes of quality.
