CCM’s March Agri-Trader Auction of Farm Machinery, Trailers, Implements, Tools, Plant Equipment, Stone, Timber & Misc Reclaim and Salvage Items produced a good full yard of lots providing a great deal of interest in the items forward for sale. Trailers were numerous with 24 lots in the section on the yard producing some of the leading prices on the day, including an Ifor Williams 14’ Cattle trailer with splitting door knocked down at £5,000 to a local farmer. Plant trailers sold well with a Graham Edwards 3.5ton 16ft trailer making £2500, and a 14ft version making £2000, whilst an Ifor Williams 14ft drop side plant trailer also made £2500. A Rice Beaufort double horse trailer made £1200.
The leading price of the day was £9,500 paid for a John Deere Gator with full cab. An 8 gate Prattley sheep handling system made £2150, whilst muck handling equipment sold to £1350 for a 7ft Slewtic muck grab. Calf creeps made to £900, Bales feeders were keenly sought, selling to £750 for a trailer version, £720 for one on skids, £450 for freestanding cattle barriers/troughs and numerous at £150 to £400 depending on type and condition. Walk through sheep troughs made to £280 for metal frames and £70 for used wooden troughs. As usual at this time of year there was a lot of interest in anything sheep related or for cattle housing, especially with some implements, gates and tools being hard to find on the new market.
