MR ALI SHAN
The news last week of the sudden and untimely passing of Ali left customers and staff at Skipton and in the wider agricultural community deeply saddened by it, who showed their respect with the customary minutes silence around the sale ring today. Ali was a regular purchaser every week at Skipton and many other auctions marts throughout the UK and was a great supporter of our farmers and producers both locally and nationally through the Shan Family’s wholesale and retail businesses. It was announced at today’s market that next week (Mon. 7th Feb) there will be a charity sheep auction held in memory of Ali and the proceeds will go in aid of the work of The British Heart Foundation. Vendors wishing to donate a sheep for the cause may do so on the day. Please advise staff at the unloading docks. Thankyou.
