Feeding Bulls – an excellent entry of bulls with pen after pen of suckler bred spring 2020 born cattle which met a similarly confident trade. Again, the trade of the day were April calves if sufficiently smart enough to make £1000 or over. 400kg bulls are the main point of interest for buyers and vendors of these cattle were not disappointed with the general run £1020-£1200.

Feeding Cows – Cows a very sharp trade in line with stronger interest from processors. Heavy continentals were £1100+ to a top of £1340, whilst 35month old heifers sold to £1340 also. At the other end of the scale, lean lightweight cows were regularly £600 plus and the first cross dairies ranged from £800-£1000 if heavy and fed. More required each sale, speak to Jeremy or Ted for more details.

Stores - Trade on fire for all classes of the 366 Bullocks and Heifers sold today. In general, a good show of cattle forward with trade similar and probably slightly up on all goods. Plenty of buyers forward for all classes with farmers starting to come out searching for quality bulling heifers and some younger cattle to farm on. Top price of £1800 today for a young smart black heifer from E BA & SW Mills, Sheffield that made its way out for bulling.
